Hank Uterine Dilators

Description

Hank Uterine Dilators are medical equipment that gynecologists employ to progressively open (dilate) the cervix and uterus during different operations.

Purpose

• Cervical dilation to provide access to additional gynecological devices during minimally invasive treatments such as hysteroscopy, endometrial ablation, or IUD insertion.
• Cervical dilation for surgical operations, including D&C (dilation and curettage).

Types:

There are two major kinds of Hank Uterine Dilators:

• Single-ended instruments feature a single dilated tip at one end of the instrument.
• Double-ended: These instruments feature a dilated tip at each end that varies in size.

Design

• Made of surgical-grade stainless steel for durability and reusability.
• Long and slim, with a smooth, polished surface for easy insertion.
• Angled tips provide better access to the cervix.
• Blunt ends to avoid tissue puncture.
• Available in a variety of sizes to meet the demands of each treatment. The sizes are measured in French (Fr). The greater the French size number, the bigger the diameter of the dilator.
